Based on personal experience, I will discuss the negative effects of allowing others to define your value and worthiness, and how I went from being a biographical victim to an autobiographical hero.

Bio: Christina M. Herr is a veteran of the United States Air Force and founder of L.I.V.E. with Courage. It took 11 years for Christina to voice that she is a veteran after separating from a previously self-proclaimed subpar military career. Combining her personal experiences with science, Christina inspires and empowers other members of the military community to define success for themselves, lean into courage and self-compassion to achieve that success, and see their value and worthiness as an authentic version of themselves.
