Dan Sheehan’s award-winning books and presentations empower veterans to take charge of their own mental wellness. A veteran of two tours in Iraq, the first as a Marine AH-1W pilot during the invasion and the second as a forward air controller with Marine Corps Special Operations Command, Detachment One, Dan’s books have guided thousands of veterans through the challenges of coming home. Dan has presented his work to veterans groups, active duty military units, universities, and employee resource groups at Fortune 500 companies that are dedicated to helping their veteran employees achieve their full potential. Dan’s first book, After Action: The True Story of a Cobra Pilot’s Journey, became required reading for all Marines when it was named to the Commandant of the Marine Corps Professional Reading List in 2020. His second book, Continuing Actions: A Warrior’s Guide to Coming Home, is a no-BS look at the human challenges warriors have always faced after the war and provides pragmatic guidance for what individual veterans can do to overcome them.
