The Imposter Interrupter™ | TEDx and Keynote Speaker | Retired U.S. Army Major
Lorrena Black is the Imposter Interrupter™, a retired U.S. Army Major, TEDx speaker, keynote speaker, and workshop facilitator. Across 25 years of enlisted and officer service, the Army kept telling her what a leader was supposed to look like: hard, loud, not soft, not goofy, not girly. There were seasons she tried to fit that mold, and every time she tried to be anything other than herself, it fell flat. Her career became proof of what she teaches today: people are most successful when they stay true to who they actually are.
Lorrena now equips high performers at every level to interrupt self-doubt and stop performing a version of leadership that isn’t theirs. Through two signature keynotes and her R.A.L.L.Y.™ Method (Recenter, Adapt, Lead, Leverage, Yield), audiences build the emotional intelligence and resilience to lead as themselves through pressure and change.
A certified Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI) Practitioner, Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) Qualified Administrator, and Co-Active trained coach, Lorrena has designed and delivered leadership, emotional intelligence, and professional development programs for corporate, nonprofit, and veteran communities nationwide. Known for her warmth, humor, and authenticity, her message is clear: your story, your service, and your lived experience are not liabilities. They are leadership.
